A proud Green Bay tradition of service, entertainment, and community.
The story of Encompass Vending began in 1951, when Wilber “Smiley” Schaut and Mel Malcore founded Smiley’s – Mel’s Coin. Their mission was simple: bring quality amusement equipment to local businesses while building lasting relationships.
In 1974, Smiley’s son-in-law Tom Piontek joined the team, introducing electronic darts to the Green Bay area and helping establish some of the first local dart leagues and tournaments. Even after Tom’s passing in 1984, the family’s dedication never wavered.
By 2015, the next generation — Andy and Jim — took the reins, rebranding as Encompass Vending Inc. and expanding services to include ATMs, POS systems, and credit card processing alongside the darts, pool, and jukeboxes locals have enjoyed for decades.
Today, we continue to serve Northeast Wisconsin with the same values we started with:
Family First – We treat every customer like part of our team.
Reliable Service – We stand behind every piece of equipment we place.
Community Focus – We build leagues and events that bring people together.
From Green Bay to surrounding towns, we’re proud to be a part of the local entertainment scene — and we’re just getting started.
